This notice explains how Turqora Tech (Pty) Ltd ("Turqora Tech", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit turqoratech.com. We follow the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Each Turqora product, such as TurqoraV, Turqora Watch and Coco Mangoes Guides, may have its own privacy notice. That notice applies when you use the product.
What we collect
- When you email us: your name, your email address and anything you choose to include in your message.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. These logs are used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- On your own device: the site saves two small preferences in your browser's local storage: your light or dark theme choice, and whether Spot has already said hello. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so loading a page doesn't send your information to a font provider.
Why we use it
- To reply to your message, and to send you the updates you ask for, such as TurqoraV early access or AVARA development news.
- To run the website and protect it from misuse.
We only send you updates you've asked for, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We use a small number of service providers to run the business: our website host and our email provider. They process information on our behalf and may store it outside South Africa. We only use established providers with their own data protection commitments.
How long we keep it
We keep emails for as long as we need to deal with your request and to keep reasonable business records. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
